The AI Job Hunt System

Spraying one resume at 200 postings is a volume game you lose to bots. The winning move is the opposite: fewer applications, each one unreasonably tailored — at a speed only AI makes possible.
Stage 1 — aim before you fire
Here's my background: [paste resume]. Here's what I want more of and less of in my next role: [notes]. Give me: the 5 job titles I should actually search (including 2 I wouldn't think of), the seniority band I can credibly claim, and the gap I should close while applying.Stage 2 — the tailoring engine (per posting, ~10 minutes)
Here's the job posting: [paste]. Here's my master resume: [paste]. (1) List the top 6 things this employer is actually screening for, in their language. (2) Rewrite my bullet points to lead with the most relevant evidence - do not invent anything, only re-order, re-word, and quantify what's true. (3) Flag which of their requirements I genuinely don't meet, and whether each is a dealbreaker or a stretch. The “do not invent” clause matters. A tailored resume is your real experience, aimed. A fabricated one is a time bomb.
Stage 3 — the cover note that isn’t a cover letter
Three sentences: the specific thing about their company/team you’re responding to, the one credential that maps to their biggest need, the ask. AI drafts, you make it sound like you:
Draft a 3-sentence application note for [role]. Sentence 1 references [specific real detail about the company]. Sentence 2 is my strongest proof for their needs. Sentence 3 asks for the conversation. No "I am writing to express my interest" - start mid-thought.Stage 4 — interview prep against the actual posting
You are the hiring manager for this exact posting: [paste]. Interview me one question at a time - behavioral and role-specific. After each answer, score it 1-10, tell me what a top candidate would have included, and let me retry once. Include the questions I least want: my gap, my weakest requirement, and "why are you leaving?"Do this out loud, not by typing, if your AI app supports voice. Interviews are a speaking sport.
Stage 5 — the offer conversation
Offer: [details]. Market: [role, city, seniority]. Build my negotiation prep: what's typically movable besides base (bonus, equity, start date, title, review timing), the phrasing for asking without ultimatums, and my walk-away line. Then role-play the call as a friendly but budget-constrained recruiter. The tracking layer
One spreadsheet, five columns — company, stage, next action, date, notes. Ask AI to summarize your pipeline every Friday and tell you which follow-up you’re avoiding.
