The 30-Day Content Calendar
A free guide by Kamran Imam — Instagram · TikTok · YouTube
A calendar isn’t 30 ideas — it’s 5 lanes that repeat. Studying high-output creators, the pattern was clear: they don’t invent daily; they rotate formats and let winners repeat. Here’s the system scaled to a sane 4-5 posts/week. Free, no signup, ever.
The five lanes
- Lane A — the how-to list (weekly): “N ways / N mistakes / N prompts” on a broad pain. Your workhorse; pairs with a giveaway.
- Lane B — the franchise (weekly): a named series with a part number — “[Series name], part 7.” The number itself builds trust. One naming decision, infinite episodes.
- Lane C — the reach swing (weekly): the experiment (“I asked AI to…”), the secret pack, or the trend-jack. Highest variance — this is where the outliers come from.
- Lane D — the timely reaction (slot held open): when something launches in your niche, it jumps the queue and ships same-day. If nothing happened that week, lane A fills it.
- Lane E — the re-roll (2-3/month): re-shoot a proven winner with a new hook and cover, ~2-3 weeks after the original. High-output creators live on this; the audience that missed it the first time vastly outnumbers the audience that remembers it.
Week one is special
All fresh (no winners to re-roll yet): 2× lane A, 1× B (launch the franchise), 1× C. From week two, re-rolls enter as your data arrives.
The planning session (30 minutes, once a month)
I'm planning 30 days of short-form content. Niche: [X]. Audience: [who]. Giveaways available: [list]. My proven winners so far: [list or 'none yet']. Build a calendar: 4-5 posts/week across these lanes: [paste the five lanes]. For each post: working title, lane, hook draft, CTA. Never two same-lane posts back-to-back. Mark which need a giveaway prepared and which hold the timely slot. The weekly adjustment (5 minutes, Fridays)
Look at the week’s numbers, then:
Here's what performed: [data]. Adjust next week: what to double down on, what to drop, what's re-roll-ready?The quiet rule that makes calendars survivable
The calendar serves the batch day (/r/batch), not the other way around. Plan monthly, film weekly, adjust from data — and when a timely moment hits, let it cut the line. Consistency beats perfection, and a posted B+ beats an unfilmed A.
